Did a photo shoot for Adam Ritter’s second Philadelphia bar and came away convinced it’s an archetypal example of a Philadelphia gastropub.

The Fishtown bar not only keeps its two dozen taps stocked with an incredible array of craft beer, chef Brian Lofink also makes the food unforgettable at the same time as it’s imminently approachable.


Brunch is a standout, but so are the sandwiches, especially the beer can chicken. I’d swap the Miller High Life with something tastier, but if that’s your jam, you are welcome to it. No harsh judgments on East Girard.
