Imagic Digital is a partnership between Danya and Mark Henninger. (Yes, we’re married.) When we founded our firm in 1997, we were self-taught digital explorers with a background in analog photography.
We met in the mid-90s in Providence, R.I. At the time, Mark’s loft had a full-color chemical darkroom right next to a computer running Photoshop 1.0. From then on, we were hooked. We used to stay up all night teaching ourselves how to use imaging software — and we maintain a fierce love and respect for these powerful tools that can represent and help re-imagine the world around us.
As pioneers in digital creative services, our client base grew quickly. We decided to concentrate on the hospitality industry, and began providing photos, videos and interactive presentations to golf clubs, hotels, luxury homes, yacht builders and others around the U.S. and throughout North America.
Over the past decade, our focus has grown to include imaging technology consulting. Mark was editor of AVS Forum, a global site focused on audio-visual equipment and home theater, where he provided insights to some of the world’s top TV, projector and audio equipment manufacturers including Samsung, Sony, LG, and Amazon. He now writes freelance A/V reviews and does bespoke consulting, as well as photography and video jobs.
Meanwhile, Danya works in journalism as editor of Billy Penn at WHYY, and has developed a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of local communities and the groups and firms that drive them.
We pride ourselves on being early adopters and mastering the latest imaging technologies.
